Mobile game subscription service Unleashd keeps growing as it adds Conduct THIS! and Ronaldo Kick’n’Run with exclusive unlocks and items

 

Danish mobile gaming start-up Multiscription has added two blockbuster games to its Unleashd subscription service that gives F2P mobile games publishers a novel take on monetization without cannibalizing their existing revenue streams.

3D arcade runner Ronaldo Kick’n’Run from 5th Planet and train puzzle game Conduct This! from Northplay has already been downloaded by millions of gamers. Unleashd subscribers will get access to in-game benefits and bonuses that are only available to them –  plus an experience free of disruptive advertising. With the addition of these two there are now 14  games live on the service – all for €4.99 per month.

Unleashd provides a far better deal for players than multiple individual game subscriptions while giving participating publishers recurring revenue from a much larger slice of their player base. Mobile game publishers including Beardy Birds, Amuzo and 1MT Games are already offering their games via Unleashd as well as through app stores.

“The great thing about Unleashd is the ability to offer players rewards for their loyalty in a way that isn’t disruptive to the gaming experience – which, with advertising, can be out of our control. According to recent data from market research company NPD, subscription-based services were the only area of the video games industry that showed growth during Q2 2022, rising by 15%.

Unleashd relies on complimenting free-to-play monetization rather than disrupting existing monetization methods. Because in-app purchasing and advertising have already been refined and integrated into the game design to provide the best experience to the players, Unleashd’s uniquely designed subscription layer works alongside existing monetization models.

“When adding a new game it’s important that we collaborate with publishers to define ‘extra’ content that will have the biggest positive gameplay impact without needing a major production effort. For Conduct THIS!, for example, we suggested that Northplay add a unique train just for Unleashd subscribers. For Ronaldo, 5th Planet offers exclusive outfits for subscribers and extra lives to help you beat your best scores. These benefits are clearly explained in-game, so the player understands the value they are receiving by being a subscriber, and for the publisher, the effort required is very small, “ explained Michael Fuller, Chief Commercial Officer at Multiscription.
