Cineverse and The Stand Group Launch WITZ Podcast Network, Expanding Into Comedy with Ambitious Growth Plans
Cineverse (Nasdaq: CNVS), a next-gen entertainment studio, and The Stand Group, New York’s premier comedy club operator, have unveiled the WITZ Podcast Network — a dynamic new slate of top-tier comedy podcasts.
Joining the lineup is Jay Mohr’s Mohr Stories, featuring guests like Jay Leno and Jim Jefferies. Mohr shared, “I’m truly excited to start this journey with the Cineverse/WITZ team. They are professional and have delivered on all their promises and more.” The deal was brokered alongside Mohr’s longtime manager Barry Katz.
The slate spans interviews, sketch comedy, prank calls, impressions, pop culture commentary, and more, tapping into the fastest-growing podcast genre. Shows include:
