CLX Debuts Proof of Concept PC

CLX, an award-winning PC integrator, announced today it has worked closely with Intel on a proof-of-concept gaming PC that has the ability to change dual PC streaming. This system is debuting this afternoon at Intel TwitchCon Party & Intel Creator Challenge Finale event being held at The New Children’s Museum in San Diego, California. This innovative build utilizes the Intel® NUC 12 Extreme Compute Element (code-named Eden Bay) compute card to creatively include two complete PCs in one build allowing for seamless and simultaneous operation.

The build is accomplished by installing an Intel® NUC Compute Element into a PCIe slot of a CLX Horus to create a PC within a PC! This concept build has incredible real-world applications, such as gaming and streaming from the same build. The NUC Compute Element includes a 12th Gen Intel® Core™ i9 processor and can handle all a user’s needs while the other CPU operates the stream – eliminating the need for dual PC builds for high-level gamers, streamers, and content creators.

“When Intel first approached us with this concept, we were immediately intrigued at the possibility of successfully combining two PCs in one build,” said Jorge Percival, Director of Marketing and Product at CLX. “Now that it’s been realized, our team is excited about the impact it will have on efficiency, not just in gaming, but across so many other industries, including streaming and content creation. We are so happy to work with Intel on this and can’t wait to see the reactions at the event.”

Leveraging the Intel NUC Compute Element in this way opens up many possibilities for simultaneous operations leveraging additional storage for a security system on your personal build, or running a media server while you stream online. The benefit is that users can have these separate systems that typically would impact performance significantly if running together, operating separately in the same build without interfering with each other. The separate CPUs operate in the same build using the same cooling system, power supply, and chassis making for an energy and cost-efficient solution.

This clean streaming system features a Intel® NUC Compute Element installed on a PCIe slot of a CLX Horus creating a significantly smaller footprint when compared to yesterdays two pc configuration.
