{"id":10493,"date":"2025-08-18T16:52:24","date_gmt":"2025-08-18T16:52:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/picante.today\/portal\/?p=10493"},"modified":"2025-08-18T16:57:29","modified_gmt":"2025-08-18T16:57:29","slug":"cel-and-the-nora-project-partner-to-expand-inclusive-education-across-schools","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/picante.today\/portal\/latest-news\/2025\/08\/18\/10493\/cel-and-the-nora-project-partner-to-expand-inclusive-education-across-schools\/","title":{"rendered":"CEL and The Nora Project Partner to Expand Inclusive Education Across Schools"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"474\" data-end=\"799\"><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.experiencecel.org\/\">The Center for Enriched Living<\/a> (CEL), a nonprofit dedicated to supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, has announced a new partnership with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.experiencecel.org\/TNP\/\">The Nora Project<\/a>, an organization committed to teaching empathy and inclusion through education.<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"801\" data-end=\"977\">This <strong data-start=\"806\" data-end=\"837\">mission-aligned integration<\/strong> will ensure more schools have the resources to create environments where <strong data-start=\"911\" data-end=\"974\">belonging and inclusion are at the center for every student<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"979\" data-end=\"1009\">Building on CEL\u2019s Legacy<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1010\" data-end=\"1112\">Since 1968, CEL has been a leader in <strong data-start=\"1047\" data-end=\"1087\">disability inclusion and empowerment<\/strong>, offering programs in:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1222\">\n<li data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1135\">\n<p data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1135\">Social development<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1136\" data-end=\"1168\">\n<p data-start=\"1138\" data-end=\"1168\">Employment and mental health<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1169\" data-end=\"1191\">\n<p data-start=\"1171\" data-end=\"1191\">Adult day services<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1192\" data-end=\"1222\">\n<p data-start=\"1194\" data-end=\"1222\">Community-based engagement<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1224\" data-end=\"1430\">Through The Nora Project, CEL will now expand into <strong data-start=\"1275\" data-end=\"1326\">school-wide professional learning for educators<\/strong> and provide <strong data-start=\"1339\" data-end=\"1380\">Disability Studies-informed curricula<\/strong> for students from <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1427\">PreK through high school<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h3 data-start=\"1432\" data-end=\"1474\">Reaching More Students and Educators<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1475\" data-end=\"1719\">The Nora Project\u2019s training and coaching have already impacted <strong data-start=\"1538\" data-end=\"1596\">tens of thousands of students and educators nationwide<\/strong>, offering a suite of <strong data-start=\"1618\" data-end=\"1656\">social-emotional learning programs<\/strong> that directly address disability, difference, and diversity.<\/p>\n<blockquote data-start=\"1721\" data-end=\"2031\">\n<p data-start=\"1723\" data-end=\"2031\"><em data-start=\"1723\" data-end=\"1823\">\u201cTogether, we&#8217;re creating a more connected, compassionate world from childhood through adulthood,\u201d<\/em> said <strong data-start=\"1829\" data-end=\"1860\">Herb Washington, CEO of CEL<\/strong>. <em data-start=\"1862\" data-end=\"2029\">\u201cThe Nora Project equips students and educators with the tools to understand and embrace difference.
