Trained by Clinicians, the New IP Uses Machine Learning to Detect Psychological Gaps in Therapeutic AI Conversations and Then Guide Users Towards Maximized Adherence and Efficacy

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Today, leading digital mental health platform, Happify Health, announced the issuance of a U.S. patent encompassing Adherence Fidelity, a novel algorithm that harnesses the power of AI by using conversational dialog management and natural language processing to detect when a user slips away from the intention of an activity and gently guides them to be more adherent.

Happify Health has incorporated Adherence Fidelity technology into their Digital AI Coach, Anna, to deliver behavioral interventions to users on the Happify platform. Using this novel technology, Anna listens to the existence of various psychological cues, and in turn responds by asking questions that guide the user towards maximized health outcomes, while also expressing curiosity and increasing engagement.
