New identity and new business unit
MONTRÉAL–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Six years after its founding by Alexandre Moïse and Émilie Rousseau, the financial services firm MR is changing its name to become MR Gestion de patrimoine & Solutions collectives. This new identity will allow the firm to pursue its growth, and to add a new business unit specialized in group insurance and retirement plans.
A quicker development than planned, despite COVID
Since its beginning, the firm has targeted almost exclusively business leaders, with an integrated service offering that covers their personal and professional needs. This overall approach allowed the firm to stand out and to grow quickly: today, there are nine collaborators.
“Our new name reflects more accurately who we are,” explains Alexandre Moïse. “It highlights our overall mission and the breadth of our skills. It also allows us to include our new unit, MR Solutions collectives, which guides SMEs looking to equip themselves with innovative and affordable benefits.”
MR Gestion de patrimoine remains a member of the SFL network, partner of Desjardins. The two entities each have their own website, which can be found at www.mrgp.ca (for wealth management) and www.mrsc.ca (for group solutions).
Appointment of a new associate
MR is also taking this opportunity to announce the appointment of a new associate, Yan Tousignant. A graduate of both the Université de Sherbrooke and ESC Pau (France), Yan counts more than 10 years of experience with group plans, which he has acquired at Great-West and Vézina. He will serve as Director of Consulting Services at MR Solutions collectives.
