You must have heard this far too often that lighting of any place makes it or breaks it. Well, it is indeed true! It is true with all the sites and especially your house. Your house is one place where you spend most of your time. In the daily activities, you might seldom notice this, but bad lighting makes a lousy impression and degrades the look of the house. Regardless of how much ever money or efforts you put in building your house if the illumination is not proper, it is all in vain.

Now, the notion that might arise in your head would be installing new conventional lights and fix the broken ones. Well, that is not always enough! Lights have their separate section today in designing a house. Earlier, you would shop for all the things for your home all at once, but today, light shopping is a separate entity. Despite this, not many people are aware of it.

We recommend you follow our advice to lighten your house in a better way. These tips will not only make things easier for you but even when someone visits your home, they are bound to drop their jaws. Here are a few bits of advice on lighting that we strongly recommend to you, regardless of the kind of house that you own.

Through the walls:

Walls were only meant to separate rooms in the past, and decorate them a bit, at most. They never used for illumination back in the day. Today it is a widely popular trend that is recommendable to most. There is a myriad of variety available today in wall lighting. These lights range right from the ancient lamps to the modern LEDs. You can install them however you want, and they will still do the job. E.g., you can install LED strips behind the wall of your TV; these will not strain your eyes and will give an aesthetic appeal.

From the ceiling:

This form of lighting is known for many years now, used in different forms. It is quite common. Yet to do it right requires some homework and research. The ceiling lights include many types of lighting, conventional LEDs, spotlights, and hanging lights. These lights should be selected only as per the theme of the room or the house. Choosing a naked bulb in an English concept is no less than a disaster. It is similar to all the other themes as well. There are a plethora of ceiling lights available today so that you can choose the aptest one for you. Their primary advantage is that they spread the light across the place evenly.

On the floor:

These lights are the newest in the turf. A new concept, it has gained fame quickly. You must have seen these modern floor lamp in one of the fancy restaurants or a footwear showroom. These lights are essential in those places but are also suitable for your house. Usually, the passage in your home must have a lot of negative space; installing these lights there gives it a makeover. The passage that you typically overlook suddenly becomes an attraction with the addition of these lights. If you have a walk-in wardrobe, then these are a must-have for you. They also look appealing under the curtains of your bedroom and living room.

The tale of chandeliers:

Even chandeliers are famous when it comes to decorating the house in terms of lighting. They make any spot astonishing with their presence. The options in lights are endless. They range right from the vintage ones consisting of intricate patterns to the modern-day ones with small naked bulbs. Both beautify the room in their distinct way. Also, there is no way you could mess up with them unless you hinder with the theme of your house. They are well-suited for the entrance of your home, in the living room, and the dining area.

 For the mirrors:

Mirrors are one place where we admire ourselves. But you must have seen that some mirrors are better than the others. Well, there is not any significant difference in the mirrors. It is all about the lighting around and over the mirrors. An appropriate light above your mirror can make you even more beautiful. There are numerous options in mirrors in the first place, but there are even more in the lighting above them. You should pick lights above the mirrors carefully, and you would certainly not regret it.

In the bathroom:

Bathroom lighting seems a petty thing. Guess what? It is not! Bathrooms can be appealing too. Like all the other places, even a shower is more appealing when it is well lit. This goes for the necessary light in the bathroom and the different ones for the mirror, bathtub, etc. Install a combination of bright white and warm yellow lights in your bathroom to use them accordingly in the day and night. Most lights in the bathroom are in the ceiling or the walls; you cannot play with another lighting in it.

These were some of our pro tips to keep your house well lit while making it appealing. Remember, intelligent lighting adds to the existing appeal of any place.

How Startups Can Promote Team Productivity In a Coworking Space

Setting your business up in a co-working space provides many benefits. When used correctly, it can give you the chance to network and promote team productivity.

Now that you’re in the process of establishing your company, you may be wondering what kind of work environment will be best for your employees.

Renting your own office space is a good option, but budget constraints and overhead costs may prevent you from getting one. While giving your employees an option to work from home has its monetary advantages, the nature of your work and the necessity of face-to-face interactions can prevent you from doing so.

Establishing your startup in a coworking space is a budget-friendly option that can bring many individual and company-wide benefits. When utilized correctly, it can give your team members an ideal work environment while enhancing the development of your business.

If you’ve just invested in one, here’s how you can promote team productivity in your coworking space.

  1. Manage Noise Disruptions

Even though co-working spaces encourage collaboration, this setup may be a challenge for employees that have trouble focusing amidst loud noises. To prevent any issues from occurring, encourage your employees to use noise-canceling earphones and constantly remind them to respect the boundaries of others.

  1. Use Collaborative Digital tools

Giving your employees the necessary tools for collaboration will optimize their productivity. Whether it’s for communication, data management, or any other process, take some time to assess your needs and search for digital platforms that can fill the gaps in your operations.

  1. Assign Office Zones Properly

Your office structure will define the way your team interacts. Scattered seating arrangements can be a source of misunderstandings so make sure that the workstations of your team members that require constant communication are right next to each other.

  1. Build Spaces for Collaboration

If you have an area in your space that can occupy a large table, consider making this as your team’s multipurpose room. When the time comes that your team needs to gather for a big project, having a space for discussion will serve as an avenue for collaboration.

  1. Fun Zones

All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

When your employees are dealing with complicated client demands and hectic deadlines, stress can get the best of them. As team leaders, maintaining your team’s emotional wellbeing is one of your biggest responsibilities. Help your employees recover by giving them a space to play around and socialize with others.

  1. Quiet Zones

Quiet zones can help your team members recover or allow them to work without any distractions.

If working with headphones isn’t enough to keep your employees focused, a quiet room should minimize distractions further and help them concentrate. At the same time, if an employee is tired and isn’t in the mood to interact having a quiet room to unwind can help decompress.

  1. Organize Team Activities

Employees that have good relationships with their colleagues tend to perform better at work.

Instilling camaraderie among your team members is a must if you want you to have a smooth work dynamic. Especially if your company has a work from home policy, your team members may find it difficult to get to know one another. Give them a reason to come back to the office through quiz night, bingo, and other kinds of company-wide activities.

  1. Encourage networking

Gaining the opportunity to meet like-minded entrepreneurs is the biggest opportunity you can get from a co-working space. Big companies such as Apple have been able to acquire new ideas and establish partnerships by setting their teams up in a co-working space.

Encourage your employees to establish connections with employees from neighboring companies. Your next big project or business partner may just be one conversation away.

  1. Allow employees to set up their workstations

Giving your employees the chance to personalize their workstation will boost their mood and cognition.

Posting pictures of friends and family, adding toys on their desks, and even letting them bring pillows and blankets can greatly change the atmosphere of their area. By letting them be in control of their own space, they’ll be able to perform better by working in an area they feel comfortable in.

  1. Promote workplace wellness

Healthy employees are one of your biggest assets. Reminding your employees to hydrate, move around, and make use of the designated zones for stretching are simple things you can do to help them minimize the risk of acquiring any health complications.

Here are more tips on how you can help your employees stay fit in the workplace.

Continuously improve your processes

As your business grows, your processes will need to adapt and improve as well. Find the time to conduct weekly team meetings to make it easier for you and your employees to point out and address areas for improvement. Be sure to continuously find ways to optimize your coworking space according to the needs of your business and your employees.

Specialty coffee brand from Poland KawePale to showcase its cold brew at Dubai show Yummex 2019

Dubai has become the synonym for rapid growth, and the local coffee market seems to be following the trend. It didn’t go unnoticed by KawePale, a fast-growing craft coffee producer based in Warsaw, Poland. The roastery will showcase its cold brew between the 29th and 31st October at Yummex 2019, the leading confectionery and snacks market trade show in the MENA region.

After establishing a strong presence on the home turf and setting up first foreign partnerships in Shanghai, Warsaw-based specialty coffee roastery KawePale decided to set foot in the Middle East. Although the coffee culture in the region dates back to the 15th century, its hotspot, Dubai, is thirsty for alternative brews like never before.

According to Gulf News, coffee outlets in the UAE have enjoyed ca. 70 per cent growth in recent years. Unsurprisingly, the local consumers seem to more and more enjoy the obvious coffee type choice for high temperatures – the cold brew. And not just the generic international brands, such as Starbucks, but high-quality artisanal beverages often served like beer – from a tap or in a bottle.

“Interestingly, what’s still unusual on our domestic market quickly becomes mainstream abroad. That’s why we decided to experiment with bottled cold brews. We can’t wait to hear what the local industry professionals will have to say about our new product” – said Piotr Wilczewski, founder and CEO of KawePale.

“We’re exhibiting at Yummex 2019 not only to find potential buyers on the local market but also to gather opinions on our current offer. Our ultimate goal is to make the final product as enjoyable for the end consumer as possible” – commented vice-president and barista at KawePale, Piotr Mietelski.

All coffee lovers who would like to try KawePale’s products are invited to stand Z5-N62 in hall ZAB5 at Dubai World Centre between the 29th and 31st October.

Meetings with KawePale team can be scheduled via email biuro@kawepale.pl. More information about the company is available on https://kawepale.pl/en/.

Project co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund in the framework of the operational programme Smart Growth.
