NexTech Launches 3D Advertising Platform for Facebook

NexTech AR Solutions (the “Company” or “NexTech”) (CSE: NTAR) (OTC: NEXCF) (FSE:N29) is pleased to announce it has achieved a major milestone by being able to offer eCommerce clients 3D advertising solutions on Facebook. NexTech is rapidly building out its AR-3D product offerings, including shopping, learning, video conferencing, and now ads on Facebook. With 1.5 billion people on Facebook, this new product offering is a big step forward in creating the most robust vertically integrated AR-3D offering on the market today.

“NexTech is systematically building out its product offerings and ecosystem enabling AR-3D objects to be seen and experienced at multiple touch points throughout a person’s daily journey, be it shopping, learning, video conferencing and now through ads on Facebook” said Evan Gappelberg, CEO of NexTech. “Having the ability to offer 3D advertising options to our AR eCommerce customers is a big deal since the majority of spend in eCommerce is on ads”.

A 3D ad experience allows the user to truly experience products, viewing from any angle or scale with rich true rendering. This essentially provides an out of store shopping experience, the closest you can get to the actual product before buying it. Split-testing by Sketchfab-branded 3D ads versus traditional static ads bears out just how dramatically engagement can improve, showing a 633% increase in sign-up conversions and a 376% increase in click through rates.

The company is continuing to develop its new business pipeline, targeting high-growth verticals such as eCommerce, Education & Training, and Live Streaming & Telepresence, with an initial focus on the global retail eCommerce market, projected to reach $4.8 trillion in 2021, according to Statistica. Recent research has shown that 40% of online shoppers would be willing to pay more for a product if they could experience it through AR, while 71% of shoppers indicated they would shop at a brand more often if it offered AR experiences.

VAYAVISION Receives €2.45M From European Commission to Go to Market in Europe

VAYAVISION, a leading provider of perception software solutions for autonomous vehicles using raw data fusion with up-sampling, today announced that they are the recipient of a €2.45 million SME Instrument Grant from the European Commission’s European Innovation Council (EIC) to support promotion to and penetration of the European market.

VAYAVISION was selected to receive a SME Instrument Phase 2 Grant, part of the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020. Phase 2 requests had a success rate of 3.6%.

“We are grateful to the European Commission for their support and their shared vision that our environmental perception software will improve the safety of Europe’s autonomous vehicles,” said VAYAVISION CEO and co-founder Ronny Cohen. “This grant, which is a testament to the increasing demand for AV perception solutions in Europe, will enable us to bring our innovative offering to those at the forefront of the automotive revolution.”

VAYAVISION’s winning proposal, “Seeing the View,” detailed using the funding to support activities involved in bringing the company’s debut perception software product, VAYADrive 2.0, to the European market, including: adapting and customizing VAYADrive 2.0 in preparation for European market; marketing and support infrastructure; training; and local European presence and support teams to assist EU-based OEMs and Tier 1s.

“Until now, autonomous vehicle perception offerings have been limited in both price and precision,” said CTO and Co-Founder Youval Nehmadi. “VAYAVISION is bringing to market a much needed accurate and reliable AV environmental perception solution, and delivering it at an affordable cost that will enable the commercialization of safer level 3, 4 and 5 AVs.”

Debuted in January 2019, VAYADrive 2.0 is an AV perception software engine based on VAYAVISION’s unique raw data fusion and upsampling technique, computer vision, and AI tools, which create accurate and reliable 3D environmental models of the area around self-driving vehicles. The environmental model provides a rich object list on a fine grid with timing and velocity vectors. It is currently in use by leading OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.

The EIC supports top-class innovators, start-ups, small companies and researchers to scale up internationally. Between 2018 and 2020 the EIC pilot will provide €2.7 billion to breakthrough, market-creating innovations via four programs (including the SME Instrument); opportunities for networking, mentoring and coaching; and strategic advice to upgrade the innovation ecosystem in Europe. The SME Instrument is part of the EIC pilot, providing about €1.6 billion in funding over the period 2018-2020 and available to SMEs only.

Dana’s TM4 Business Announces Production of 12,000th TM4 SUMO™ Electric Powertrain for Buses, Commercial Vehicles in China

Dana Incorporated’s (NYSE: DAN) motor and inverter joint venture, TM4, today announced it has reached a major milestone with the production of its 12,000th TM4 SUMO™ electric powertrain for buses and commercial vehicles in China.

Initially introduced for the fast-growing Chinese market, TM4 SUMO systems are operating on electric buses in more than 20 cities, including BeijingTianjinShanghai, Suzhou, Chongqing, Shenzhen.  Key Chinese original equipment-customers include Higer, Yaxing, Foton, Yinlong, and King Long.

“Our goal is to provide our customers around the world with a powerful and convenient solution to support their e-mobility initiatives,” said Christophe Dominiak, chief technology officer for Dana. “The TM4 SUMO direct-drive electric powertrain is a proven, industry-leading solution that has been quickly adopted in China for its high efficiency, reliability, ease of integration, and low maintenance.  We are also quickly gaining market share in EuropeNorth America, and India, positioning Dana as a market leader in electrodynamic solutions.”

Developed for performance and durability, the TM4 SUMO system is optimized for medium- and heavy-duty electric and hybrid vehicles, such as six-to-18-meter buses, delivery trucks, and shuttles.  By allowing direct drive operation, the system reduces powertrain complexity, creating for a simple, efficient and low-maintenance solution.  A direct drive system yields more than 10 percent efficiency gains throughout the driving cycle, representing an equivalent gain in battery usage.

The TM4 SUMO systems can be optimized to offer the best driveline efficiencies to different vehicle platforms based on selected duty cycles.  The systems are designed and engineered at TM4 in Boucherville, Québec, Canada, and manufactured by its Chinese joint-venture, Prestolite E-Propulsion Systems in Weifang, Shandong province.  Both are equipped with high volume, flexible, and automated production lines, and a large range of dynamometers and test cells, making it possible to conduct full validation and certification of electric and hybrid powertrains.

Prestolite E-Propulsion Systems (PEPS) is a joint venture between TM4 and Prestolite Electric Beijing Limited.  TM4 is a joint-venture between Dana and Hydro-Québec, Canada’s largest electricity producer and one of the world’s largest hydroelectric power producers.
