Festive fun at the fantastical Cocoaland

From now until 1st January 2019, LANDMARK ATRIUM will be transformed into Cocoaland, with a fantastical chocolate factory populated by the cute and fun-loving Cocoa Monsters created by French illustrator Frederic Pillot.

“It’s a tradition at LANDMARK to delight the community with wonderful Christmas events. This year, we are inviting everyone to discover a world of fun and adventure with the Cocoa Monsters,” said Mr. Raymond Chow, Executive Director of Hongkong Land. “The inspiration and humour of this year’s installation are sure to delight every child, and remind every adult of the joy of the festive season.”

Visitors can discover the enchanting ‘Cocoa Forest’, where the monsters collect the cocoa beans they need to make chocolate, and Cocoaland, an imaginative installation featuring the Cocoa Monsters and their chocolate-making machines that will burst into life every 30 minutes in a cavalcade of light and sound.

From the lofty ‘Chocolate Tower’, liquid chocolate flows through the ‘Power Pumps’, pumping chocolate into the ‘Shaping Machine’. Inside the ‘Colouring Studio’, the chocolates are given their bright hues, while the ‘Decorating Tower’ comes alive with puffs of ‘steam’ and eye-catching lighting effects.

Children can join in with the fun, turning the wheel to activate the ‘Drying Fan’ while the Cocoa Monsters at the ‘Packaging Machine’ are putting the finished chocolates into gift boxes. Meanwhile, children can stop the ‘Greedy Monsters’ from stealing all the chocolate at the monster-shaped ‘Joy Machine’.

With a HK$20 donation to Make-A-Wish[1] Hong Kong, visitors can play a series of ‘Monster Mission’ mini-games at the Cocoaland’s Joy Machine. Visitors also have the chance to enjoy free festive eggettes from LANDMARK’s exclusive Christmas cart — visitors can simply take a photo of themselves having fun with the Cocoa Monsters at LANDMARK and share the photo on Instagram or Facebook with the hashtags #COCOAMONSTERS, #CREATEJOY and #LANDMARKHK to get theirs.

With the ‘LANDMARK HONGKONG’ mobile app, visitors can turn into a Cocoa Monster by taking photos and videos using the fun camera filter, adding special Cocoa Monster stickers, or tracking down the hidden ‘Greedy Monster’ hiding within the mall to redeem a special prize from the LANDMARK Christmas information counter.

To delight visitors and ‘Create Joy’, the fun and joyful Cocoa Monsters will also put on special performances at selected times every weekend and on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day from 15th to 25th December. The fun-loving Cocoa Monsters will also be popping up at selected stores and restaurants throughout LANDMARK during the promotion period.

LANDMARK has also created a range of exclusive festive merchandise, including adorable Cocoa Monster plush toys, festive tote bags featuring the loveable characters, key chains, headbands and much more. All are available for purchase at LANDMARK ATRIUM, with proceeds going to Make-A-Wish Hong Kong.

At CAFE LANDMARK, diners can enjoy the Cocoa Monsters Afternoon Tea Set for two. Priced at HK$380, the set comes presented in a delightful Cocoa Monster serving stand along with two fun wearable monster headbands.

At J.LINDEBERG, the Cocoa Monsters are showing off their stylish side: the Swedish fashion brand has produced a special range of embroidered polo shirts featuring the mischievous creatures. Moleskine, meanwhile, has created the LANDMARK Cocoa Monsters Christmas Special Edition notebook for jotting down all the Christmas shopping and wish lists.

From 1st to 26th December, visitors to LANDMARK will also enjoy exquisite Christmas shopping experiences with every dollar they spend.

With a spend of HK$10,000 or more, shoppers can enjoy a host of enticing rewards at LANDMARK this Christmas. Choose between unlimited value of reward dollars or invaluable experience, including a night of festivities in the LANDMARK Mandarin Oriental entertainment suite, with Cocoa Monsters on hand to get the party started; a behind-the-scenes visit to the Chopard factory with a private museum tour and a hands-on experience in the Swiss maison’s high jewellery workshop; or the chance to host a party at the BVLGARI LANDMARK boutique for an unforgettable luxury experience.
