Has your computer been randomly shutting off for no reason? Chances are that your laptop is overheating and isn’t able to cool down. When this happens, the laptop will automatically shut down as a way to prevent any damage from happening to the components inside.

Give It Enough Airflow

They can order the correct parts and replace them without causing any harm to the surrounding components.

See If Any Programs Are Utilizing Too Much Power

To check the heat of the components, you can open up the task manager (PC) or activity monitor (Mac) to see what is happening with your components. They’ll tell you how much of their processing power is currently in use and what temperatures they’re running at. Anything above 70 to 80 degrees Celsius is a bad sign.

If your laptop is overheating when playing games, chances are that the game is running at too high of a graphics setting for your laptop to handle. A good way to test this is to open up a game that doesn’t need a lot of graphics processing power and see if that causes the same problem.

If it doesn’t shut down, then go back to the other game and adjust the settings on it. You can reduce the graphics to low or medium and turn off excess functions like shadows and particle effects.
