Customer training technology company to add more than 60 employees regionally, including the addition of two recent C-suite hires

BOSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Thought Industries, the world’s leading B2B customer training platform provider, is planning for immense growth within its Boston headquarters this year. In 2019, the company saw rapid customer growth, a new partnership with Luminate Capital Partners, expanded product value and maturity, and new executive hires. Thought Industries will dramatically expand its regional footprint with plans to add an estimated 60 employees to its Post Office Square location, effectively doubling its Boston-based employee count.

“In 2019 we saw tremendous growth in the business over the previous year,” said Barry Kelly, CEO, Thought Industries. “In 2020, we want to continue our mission to help the world’s leading learning organizations create exceptional learning experiences to scale their customer education and grow their businesses. We’re adding new team members in sales, marketing, product and support. We’re excited for the new year and looking forward to growing our Boston-based team, as well as remote team members around the globe.”

Key executive hires include adding Jeff Kushmerek as vice president of professional services and Rob Lubash as chief financial officer in December 2019. Kushmerek has more than 15 years of experience leading high-performing software companies throughout Massachusetts. Lubash has been in the CFO role for SaaS, software and professional services companies for more than a decade, most recently at InCrowd, Inc.

“It’s a transformational time for Thought Industries, and I’m looking forward to working with Barry and the team as we continue to advance our customer training solutions,” said Lubash. “Some of our most innovative 2019 product launches, along with upcoming initiatives, set the tone for substantial development and cutting-edge offerings for customers in 2020. I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue the trajectory of our continued success for this year.”

New customers in the Boston area include Customer Gauge, Spartan Race and TaxJar. Thought Industries anticipates bringing on additional customers in the software and training industries in 2020 as the sales team continues to expand. The company works with customers in all industries and sizes, ranging from startups to Fortune 500.

“We’re thrilled to be working with Thought Industries,” said Cary Self, vice president of education and programming, CustomerGauge. “The team has played an important role in helping educate our customers and it has been fantastic working with another innovative Boston tech company. We look forward to continued collaboration and the achievements it will bring.”
