Students and their families will come together to make 300 custom teddy bears for the holiday season at the Esperanza “Hope” Medrano Elementary School in Dallas on Saturday, December 21st.

Located near the Parkland Hospital medical district, Medrano serves more than 500 Pre-K through 5th-grade students from the surrounding low-income neighborhoods.

The Create-A-Bear workshop is being donated by the Tracy Law Firm’s Vehicle Safety lab which is located nearby and is partially underwritten by WOW VIP Events.

Students will name and customize their bears which wear Tshirts featuring the school’s Dragon mascot logo. The Create-A-Bear workshop aims to foster the building of a Parent Teacher Organization at the school.
