Federman & Sherwood Continues Investigation into Oregon Department of Transportation for Data Breach

OKLAHOMA CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–$ODOT #DataBreach–The law firm of Federman & Sherwood is continuing their investigation into Oregon Department of Transportation (“ODOT”) with respect to their data breach. On June 16, 2023, ODOT notified approximately 3.5 million individuals that the department experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. The breach was discovered on June 1, 2023. According to ODOT, they determined that information moved through file transfer tool, MOVEit Transfer may have been subject to unauthorized access between May 27, 2023 and May 31, 2023. ODOT determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes, name, address, date of birth, driver’s license or state ID card, and the last four digits of Social Security number.
