OKLAHOMA CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#BatonRouge–The law firm of Federman & Sherwood has initiated an investigation into The Newtron Group, LLC (“Newtron”) with respect to their recent data breach. On October 13, 2023, Newtron notified customers that the company experienced a data breach after an unauthorized party accessed sensitive consumer data entrusted to the company. According to Newtron, they determined that information stored on their servers may have been subject to unauthorized access from August 2, 2023 through August 3, 2023. Newtron determined that the information exposed in the data breach includes names and at least one of the following elements: Social Security number, driver’s license number, passport number, State or Military ID number, financial information (such as financial account number or health savings account number), date of birth, medical information and health insurance information. For some individuals the information may have included a birth certificate, marriage certificate, or tax ID number.
