LOS ANGELES–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#commercialtrucks–Southern California-based Tom’s Truck Center, an industry leader in commercial truck sales and service, today announced Lisa McGhee has been appointed as the company’s first Zero-Emission Vehicle Programs and Affairs Manager. This new position has been created to support Tom’s growing offerings in the zero-emissions commercial truck category. McGhee will focus her energies on educating employees and clients on electric vehicle (EV) infrastructure needs, regulations, subsidies, and incentives to provide a smooth transition to zero-emission transportation.

“We are thrilled to have Lisa bring her years of expertise in EV fleet technology, regulations, subsidies, commercial rate design and infrastructure needs to the Tom’s Truck Center team,” said Tom’s Truck Center President and CEO KC Heidler. “This new position will focus on supporting our team members and clients during this pivotal moment in the state of California as new incentives are available to encourage the transition to zero-emission trucks.”

A proven expert in commercial fleet electrification, McGhee was previously the Business Development Manager for GreenPower Motor Company where she was responsible for garnering new business opportunities, expanding brand presence and supporting EV policies for the fast-growing EV company. Prior to her role at GreenPower, McGhee served as Operations Manager for San Diego Airport Parking Company where she successfully transferred the entire fleet to zero-emission vehicles and worked with the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) to shape EV policies for the state of California.

The creation of this new position comes as Tom’s Truck Center continues to grow its EV options. Currently, Tom’s offers Nikola battery-electric vehicles, GreenPower EV cargo vans, Ford EV Transit cargo vans, and REE EV Platforms. Next year, Tom’s will add Hino EV, Isuzu EV trucks and Nikola Hydrogen Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles. Additionally, Tom’s Truck Center Los Angeles (Santa Fe Springs) has “fast chargers” available now and Tom’s Truck Center Orange County (Santa Ana) will have them later this year.
