TORONTO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–A tentative deal was reached between CUPE Local 2484 and Selwyn Community Child Care Centre, averting a strike by early years professionals. After months of bargaining – and with robust support from community members and allies across the labour movement, including CUPE Ontario and the Toronto & York Regional Labour Council – these highly trained but low paid workers will be voting on a new contract in the coming days. More details will be forthcoming.
