Upcoming Conecta Mexico session with iconectiv’s Bob Grant explores the challenges, opportunities and considerations for business calls being properly delivered to international destinations

MEXICO CITY–(BUSINESS WIRE)–iconectiv:

What:

Consumers are tethered to their phones – an extension of their identity and the single most essential tool for interacting with the world and navigating their day-to-day lives. But despite constant accessibility and desire to access and exchange information via phones simply, seamlessly and securely, consumer confidence in the phone continues to wane because of technology shifts and fraudsters who misuse and abuse communication networks.

This challenge impacts the business community that relies on the phone to reach their customers and is exacerbated at a global scale as countries categorically identify voice calls from another country as suspicious or potential fraud. This is having a financial impact on legitimate businesses that rely on voice calls to reach their international customers — a problem that will increase as more countries establish rules for inbound voice calls. For example, currently calls from Mexico into the US or Canada may be blocked or marked as suspicious. Many of these calls don’t get through even if the service provider is registered in the US Robocall Mitigation Database.

At Conecta Mexico, iconectiv’s Bob Grant will discuss how the global telecom community is working together to protect and defend the communications ecosystem. Additionally, Grant will highlight iconectiv services focused on keeping people connected, businesses running and commerce flowing by identifying and verifying legitimate callers so that their voice traffic receives the proper authentication and is not inaccurately categorized as potentially suspicious or illegal.
