Global technology brand OPPO has ranked first in the DXOMARK Battery global rankings with the Reno6 5G after the independent testing organization recently released its test results. The OPPO smartphone was given a total score of 96, making it the highest-rated smartphone among the 40 devices tested so far.
DXOMARK is an independent French technology company and an international leader in the quality evaluation of smartphone cameras, displays, audio, and batteries, as well as other consumer electronics such as cameras and speakers, with the goal of helping consumers choose the best performing products. For its rigorous battery test, DXOMARK measures battery performance in three factors – charging, autonomy, and efficiency – over 150 hours of testing and 70 measurements.
“OPPO Reno6 5G turned in a stellar battery performance, taking top marks in certain categories and coming in first globally among all devices,” added DXOMARK in its review. “The device is very well-balanced and well-designed and provides a good comprehensive experience.”
Of the three factors tested, the OPPO Reno6 5G ranked first in both charging and efficiency tests, securing the top spot in DXOMARK’s global database for overall battery performance. Equipped with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charging technology, the Reno6 5G can charge to an indicated 100% in 29 minutes and to an actual full charge in 35 minutes, resulting in a score of 109 in the charging performance category.
DXOMARK’s test also shows that the device can achieve more than 10 hours of autonomy with a 5-minute charge when the battery level is below 50% capacity, faster than any other smartphone. The OPPO Reno6 5G has the best charging performance in its category, ranking first with 101 points for overall efficiency in the entire Battery Protocol database.
The DXOMARK review also shows that the OPPO Reno6 5G has a good battery life and that the phone can last 57 hours with moderate usage. The OPPO Reno6 5G outperforms the category average in terms of battery performance when using social apps, gaming, streaming music, and video (both over cellular and Wi-Fi), highlighting its strong performance in typical everyday use.
