Meet Marius Adomnica, Lawyer at Segev LLP

 

Introducing our following guest at The HIPTHER FESTIVAL XXI, Marius will talk about the rise of eSports in North America and the significance of these from the point of view of tech companies.

Marius grew up in Vancouver and obtained his J.D. from the University of British Columbia, graduating with a Business Law concentration. He was called to the bar in British Columbia in January of 2012. A lifelong gamer, Marius’ practice focuses on esports and video game law. He has been at the forefront of assisting the development of the esports industry in British Columbia and works closely with a wide range of esports companies, players, and content creators. He is also a co-founder of Team Discover, a content creator management agency, a founding board member of the Vancouver Esports Association, and acts as a consultant for various industry groups and companies. In his off-hours, he writes The Patch Notes, an esports and video game law blog. In addition to his esports practice, Marius also works with many local video game studios, helping them with anything from incorporations to major corporate transactions and everything in between. Marius also has extensive experience in general corporate and commercial law, focusing primarily on emerging technology companies, as well as business immigration and commercial real estate law, and is able to provide his clients with assistance on a wide range of matters. Marius takes a down-to-earth approach to the practice of law and prides himself on finding practical, creative, and efficient solutions to his client’s legal issues.
