Montreal Mayoral Debate Broadcast on Thursday, October 28th

on CBC Montreal, CJAD 800, CityNews Montreal, CTV News Montreal, Global News Montreal and The Montreal Gazette

Montreal, Quebec–(Newsfile Corp. – October 14, 2021) – A group of Montreal English media outlets are producing a Montreal Mayoral Candidates debate in the lead up to the 2021 municipal election. Denis Coderre (Ensemble Montreal), Balarama Holness (Mouvement Montreal) and Valérie Plante (Projet Montreal) will participate in the debate.

The debate is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 28th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.. The Montreal Gazette, Global News Montreal, CBC Montreal, CJAD 800, CityNews Montreal (Citytv) and CTV News Montreal will broadcast the event live on radio, television and digital.

The general public is invited to email questions to the moderators at mayor2021@citynews.ca on six topics: housing, public safety, economy, climate crisis, inclusion and transportation.

Mutsumi Takahashi (CTV News Montreal) and Debra Arbec (CBC Montreal) will moderate the 90-minute debate hosted by Laura Casella (Global News Montreal). Alyssia Rubertucci, (CityNews Montreal) will present questions from the public.

Media interested in attending the event, must register by Tuesday, October 26 by emailing their full name and media outlet to: mtlcomm@cbc.ca.
