Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav – an Indian Government initiative – celebrates 75 years of development in India, history, culture, and milestones. A few weeks away from the 75th Anniversary of Indian Independence, Shri Narendra Modi – Prime Minister of India – encourages people to build a new Atma Nirbhar Bharat, a Hindi phrase which translates to ‘self-reliant India’.
The initiative aims to encourage interaction and deepen the idea of a structured framework of connection between different regions of India. By providing activities in the areas of language, education, culture, and heritage, the event will promote mutual understanding between people from different states, motivating engagement and appreciation.
Former State Minister of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Delhi Manish Mishra announced his commitment to supporting 75 disabled women on the occasion of the celebration, by providing them with the conditions to an independent life.
“I, Manish Mishra, on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a beautiful bond between brother and sister, have taken upon myself the initiative of celebrating the glorious Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav uniquely by helping 75 disabled women of Uttar Pradesh, by providing them Sewing machines – a means to an independent livelihood. I urge everyone to join me in this effort and spark off a larger movement. And if you know some person that will benefit from this, please share their contact details so that we can lend a helping hand,” says Manish Mishra.
He stood out as early as his college years, being a bright student with a spirit of initiative and a true leader persona. He was appointed as the student leader and his commitment to social causes continues. He joined BJYM (Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha) as a worker, later being elevated to Delhi State President of BJYM due to his exceptional ability to solve social problems. During the pandemic, he assisted students in their education and offered help to those in need.
