How do social innovators catalyze action in decentralized communities? How do change agents innovate in large organizations? What are emerging leaders and how do they exert revolutionary transformation from the fringes?
History is filled with legendary figures, yet we need to look no farther than the current crisis to find heroes deploying ad-hoc strategies to quickly respond to unexpected social needs. It turns out they follow the rules that nature invented along with evolutionary processes derived from “Principles of Emergent Engineering”. These natural principles are at absolute odds with how our governance systems (dys)function in their quest for authoritarian stability.
Based on experience in the field this talk proposes principles that decentralized communities can follow to self-organize with the agility of response to emerging needs. Ways to deploy an “organic DAO” nervous system in which humans are not just “consumers” of data and computing applications but rather actors in a social network operating environment: They are producers, “players” and “inputs” in a new “socio-technical combinatorics” ecosystem where their interactions, mediated by digitally animated artifacts can be coordinated and synergistically orchestrated to steer complex, interdependent global-scale systems.
On 22 July (Wednesday), 10 AM CDT | 5 PM CET | 4 PM BST, Dr. Mihaela Ulieru (President at IMPACT Institute for the Digital Economy) will join Zoltán Tűndik (Co-Founder at HIPTHER Agency) for an exciting talk about decentralized communities and social innovations which are powered by Blockchain technology.
