Freshfields appoints Matthew Herman as US Regional Managing Partner

NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP (‘Freshfields’) has appointed Matthew Herman as its new Regional Managing Partner for the United States. He succeeds Peter D. Lyons.

Matt currently serves as Co-head of Freshfields’ Global M&A Practice and is widely recognized as a leading US practitioner, having advised Starbucks on the $7.15bn sale of its Consumer Packaged Goods and Foodservice business to Nestlé, Dubai Aerospace Enterprise on its acquisition of AWAS and sale of StandardAero, and Japan Tobacco on its $5bn acquisition of Natural American Spirit from Reynolds American.

Matt has been with Freshfields since 2003, when he joined to launch the firm’s US M&A practice.
