–(BUSINESS WIRE)–DHI Telecom Group was established in 2007 to deliver advanced technical solutions including fiber-optic cable, satellite uplinks, mobile Wi-Fi devices, and commercial Internet through contracts with the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES), and Naval Information Warfare Systems Command. DHI is the largest ISP provider in active war zones. DHI developed Sapphire International Mobile Hotspots to keep servicemen and women, and DoD contractors deployed overseas connected to the Internet with a secure signal. Sapphire Wi-Fi devices use CloudSIM technology to connect in 130+ countries to create a hotspot with up to 4G LTE speeds. In Q4 2018, DHI acquired London-based Tep Wireless for its successful U.K. and U.S. mobile Wi-Fi rental network, which now uses Sapphire devices for business and leisure travelers. In January 2019 – DHI introduced Sapphire devices along with TEP Wireless rentals at the New York Times Travel Show. TEP launched sales at the B8ta high-tech store during the grand opening of Hudson Yards – New York’s new retail, entertainment, and high-rise residential center. Sapphire and TEP expanded to additional B8ta stores in New York, California, and Texas. Sapphire 2 devices were launched in May 2019, with 1GB or preloaded data. In June, DHI acquired French-based Travel Wireless with market leadership for Americans visiting France. Next, DHI purchased Trinus, a mobile Wi-Fi company based in Chile, serving Latin American business travelers to Europe and North America. In Q4, Sapphire and Tep mobile Wi-Fi devices were launched in Amsterdam at the Productpine flagship store.
