WILLIAMSON, W. Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Don Blankenship has confirmed that he is a Candidate for the Constitution Party nomination for President of the United States.
Don chose the Constitution Party because it is dedicated to securing the Constitution itself. A Constitution which many Americans believe today’s politicians and courts are chiseling away at every opportunity.
BLANKENSHIP’s BACKGROUND
Don Blankenship has lived the vast majority of his life in West Virginia. However, he has lived in many regions of the United States and is well traveled throughout the world having frequently spoken to audiences on six of seven continents.
A self-made businessman, Don climbed the ranks of a coal company named Massey Energy and became the company President, CEO, and Chairman of the Board. Don took the company public and what had been a small coal company was later sold for seven billion dollars. As the company grew, Don oversaw the mining of more coal in Central Appalachia than anyone in history.
In addition to Blankenship’s professional business success, he is recognized as the major influencer behind the conservative takeover of West Virginia politics, as both a donor and strategist.
BLANKENSHIP SEEKS TO BE THE FIRST
Don will be attempting to be the first person ever to become an occupant of the White House after having been in the “big house.” Don spent a year in Taft Federal prison after being convicted of a misdemeanor. The misdemeanor conviction was achieved in the aftermath of a coal mine explosion only as a result of now confirmed and admitted federal government prosecution misconduct.
Don had been indicted six months after he funded and released a documentary. The documentary explained that the Mine Safety and Health Administration (MSHA) insisted that the coal miners who perished make ventilation plan changes which cut the mine’s airflow in half prior to the explosion. At Don’s trial, the two lead government prosecution witnesses testified that the government did, in fact, insist that the air be cut in half.
A Federal Magistrate Judge has now recommended that Don’s misdemeanor conviction be voided, and Don is writing a book which will expose how and why the government cut the air and much more.
BLANKENSHIP RAN FOR WEST VIRGINIA SENATE SEAT LAST YEAR
Once released from prison, Don ran for the Republican Party nomination for a West Virginia U.S. Senate Seat. Don had taken the lead in the polls just days before the election. Republican leaders, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and other Republican Senators, according to several Washington, DC publications, said that Blankenship had to be stopped from winning the Republican nomination, because he could not win the General election.
Subsequently, multiple media outlets and Republican supporters said on national news stations that Don was a convicted felon, a racist, an imbecile, a moron, and more. Don failed to win the Republican nomination.
BLANKENSHIP HAS SUED NRSC, MEDIA, AND TRUMP, JR.
In response to the media calling Don a felon, a convicted felon, and even saying Don went to prison for manslaughter, Don has an active defamation lawsuit against the National Republican Senatorial Committee and numerous media outlets. Despite the media untruths and the fact that the misdemeanor conviction seems on the verge of being voided, the American public has not heard the truth. Therefore, Don hopes to explain the truth when he releases his book next year.
WHAT THE ELECTION IN 2020 IS ABOUT
But Don’s experiences with Republican Party and the media are not what the 2020 election is about. Instead, it is about Don actually doing what President Donald Trump promised he would do—Make America Great Again. President Trump means well, but he simply cannot get it done because he is too busy mending his self-inflicted wounds.

Don instead believes what President Kennedy said in 1961, Americans should “ask not what your country can do for you—-ask what you can do for your country.”
