First National Bank of Louisiana and FHLB Dallas to Award $24K to Educate Youth

CROWLEY, La.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–First National Bank of Louisiana and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $24,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to Empowering the Community for Excellence, which provides assistance to at-risk children to improve their academic performance. The grant will pay for computers, a printer, instructional materials and two high school mentors and tutors.

The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 21 at First National Bank of Louisiana, 128 North Parkerson Avenue in Crowley.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions like First National Bank of Louisiana to contribute $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization, which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio.
