TALLAHASSEE, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#504SBALoans–For the 4th consecutive year, Florida First Capital Finance Corporation has earned the top lender spot for Small Business Administration (SBA) loan production among all SBA lenders in Florida.
Florida First Capital is a multi-state nonprofit Certified Development Company licensed and regulated by the SBA to provide the SBA 504 Loan Program to growing and expanding small businesses in Alabama, Florida and South Georgia.
The 504 Loan Program provides up to 90% financing at below-market, fixed interest rates (currently under 4%) and repayment terms up to 25 years. Loan funds may be used to purchase major fixed assets, such as owner-occupied commercial real estate and/or heavy duty machinery and equipment. Small business owners also can refinance commercial mortgage and other business debt under the 504 Loan Program.
In the fiscal year (FY) 2019, Florida First Capital produced 266 SBA 504 loan projects in Florida resulting in $240,136,000 of approved 504 dollars and $540,306,000 in total project financing, according to SBA data. Florida First Capital accounted for 56% of the total projects and 59% of the total SBA dollars loaned in the Sunshine State.
The company’s total 504 loan production for FY 2019 was 275 projects resulting in $246,137,000 of approved 504 dollars and $553,808,250 in total project financing.
Florida First Capital also finished FY 2019 ranked 3rd nationally among all active Certified Development Companies and experienced the highest increase in authorized loans and overall dollars among the nation’s top 5 Certified Development Companies.
