WHO |
The American Coalition of Cabinet Distributors (ACCD): |
WHY |
Despite representing less than 10% of the growing U.S. cabinet industry, “Ready-to-Assemble” (RTA) cabinet distributors, a distinct segment of the U.S. cabinet industry, are under attack by a group of companies in the “made-to-order” cabinet sector of the industry who filed a trade petition asking the U.S. government to impose trade duties against imported RTA product from China. |
Executives from U.S. RTA cabinet companies will discuss the damage that a successful trade petition would inflict on these American businesses and employees; the customers served by the quick-turnaround, limited selection RTA cabinet business model; and the hypocrisy of being targeted in an anti-China trade petition by U.S. “made-to-order” cabinet producers that have themselves been significant importers of cabinet product from China. |
