Coats to be collected at company’s offices and distributed locally to those in need
ATLANTA–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#boardofdirectors–The Aliera Companies, a holding and management company providing compliance, accounting, human resources, and training services to its subsidiaries, today announced it is hosting a winter coat drive in support of One Warm Coat, a national nonprofit that works with local organizations to collect and distribute coats to the less fortunate.
Last year, more than 500,000 coats were distributed by One Warm Coat in North America. The Aliera Companies is joining the drive this year by placing collection bins in the lobbies of its Atlanta offices and encouraging employees to donate clean, gently worn coats. Donated coats will be distributed in the Atlanta area and the drive runs through February.
“This is a wonderful program and it is gratifying to join One Warm Coat in supporting those in the community who can greatly benefit by having a coat to protect them against the winter cold,” said Chase Moses, president of The Aliera Companies. “I encourage all of our employees to participate and donate to this worthwhile effort. It may be something most of us take for granted, but for someone that is homeless or living in poverty and can’t afford to purchase a coat, a simple donation could make a difference.”
Founded in 1992 as a single Thanksgiving weekend coat drive in San Francisco, One Warm Coat has grown into a national organization dedicated to supporting coat drives in all 50 states and 10 countries.
