NTC Hires Industry Veteran, Amie McCarthy, as VP Business Development of Capital Markets

PALM HARBOR, Fla.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nationwide Title Clearing, Inc. (NTC), the leading post-closing services provider for the nation’s largest financial institutions, investors and servicers, is proud to announce that Amie McCarthy will be joining the company’s executive team as Vice President of Business Development for Capital Markets. McCarthy joins an elite group of subject matter experts adding many years of experience to an already impressive team.

“It’s a privilege to join a firm and colleagues I have long admired. I look forward to providing best in class products and solutions,” said McCarthy.

McCarthy has more than 25 years of experience in mortgage finance, structured products and banking. Her core competencies include primary and secondary marketing, underwriting, valuation, portfolio management, servicing and regulatory compliance. She brings product life cycle experience, which clients can leverage to improve processes, controls, and best execution on mortgage transactions.

McCarthy joins Nationwide Title Clearing to provide capital markets and regulatory expertise to the firm’s diverse client base.

Prior to joining NTC, McCarthy was with Grant Thornton, where she focused on banking and regulatory projects. McCarthy’s experience includes roles with capital markets at firms such as Credit Suisse, Nomura Securities and Bank of America. She managed the acquisition, trading, securitization, and whole loan sales of agency and non-agency residential and commercial mortgages. She has managed asset backed transactions with auto loans, student loans, small business loans and credit card receivables.

Following the credit crisis, McCarthy joined a GSE and worked to implement the Making Home Affordable Program (HAMP) and mitigate delinquencies in first loss position securities. She also worked for the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau in regulatory implementation, to promote industry comprehension and compliance.

In her early career, McCarthy worked at national loan servicers and regional banks. She was a loan officer and underwriter for auto loans, small business loans, and mortgages. She has managed all aspects of loan servicing, special products, investor reporting, escrow, and subservicing pricing and contract management for residential and commercial mortgages.

McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration (BSBA) from Thomas Edison State University, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) concentrating in finance from Rutgers University. She is also a certified mortgage banker (CMB) awarded by the Mortgage Bankers Association.

“Amie McCarthy is a major boost to NTC’s capital markets operations and sales. Her talents are multi-faceted and includes invaluable experience from the tough environment of the buyer and seller trade desk, in addition to legal and government regulation and oversight,” said Michael O’Connell, Chief Operations Officer at NTC. “We are excited to have Amie on the team and see her addition as a demonstration of NTC’s commitment to the capital market industry.”
