DENVER–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Guzman Energy, a wholesale power provider based in Colorado, has added Mustafa Ostrander to its legal team as Assistant General Counsel. Ostrander’s primary focus will be on representing Guzman in commercial transactions and developing and managing the compliance program.
Ostrander brings 15 years of experience representing a wide variety of participants in the markets regulated by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, including interstate pipelines and wholesale energy trading firms. Most recently, Ostrander worked for a publicly traded energy infrastructure company, where he supported commercial transactional and federal regulatory efforts with respect to the company’s FERC-regulated assets. Prior to that, Ostrander practiced at several leading law firms in Washington, D.C., where he counseled energy and commodity market participants on complex, high-stakes regulatory and enforcement matters. He also served as a staff attorney in FERC’s Office of Enforcement, Division of Investigations.
