Banks Partner to Announce $8K Grant for Louisiana Nonprofit to Help Empower Youth

LAFAYETTE, La.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Home Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $8,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to A New Vision Leadership Foundation of Acadiana (New Vision), which provides empowerment and educational opportunities to middle and high school students to become leaders through S.T.E.M. educational services. The grant will be used for organizational capacity building and fundraising efforts.

The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 3:30 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019, at Domingue Recreation Center at 901 Mudd Avenue in Lafayette.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions to contribute $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio.
