Industry Veteran Brandon Smith Joins Firm to Lead Integration of Planning Platform

PARSIPPANY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Summit Financial, a 36-year-old1 financial services firm supporting independent wealth management advisors, today announced the hiring of Brandon Smith, J.D., as the Director of the Integrated Planning Group. Smith will be responsible for leading the team that provides complex financial planning support for Summit Financial advisors and their clients. The Integrated Planning Group is a key component of the firm’s newly introduced SummitVantage advisor platform.

Smith will partner with Michelle McIntyre, Director of Growth and Business Development, as the firm introduces its SummitVantage advisor platform. As part of this initiative, Summit has also invested significant capital to integrate best-of-breed technologies into a single, proprietary advisor portal building off the firm’s long-standing capabilities in planning, investments and insurance.

Smith joins Summit Financial from Grayhill, LLC, where he served as an Executive Officer partnering with financial advisors to develop client wealth transfer strategies within the context of comprehensive financial plans. He earned his J.D. from Washburn University School of Law, and his LL.M. in taxation from the University of Denver College of Law. Smith also earned a B.A. from Emory University.
