First National Bank of Omaha Satisfies More than One Million Customers with Instant Issuance

New store account? Lost a credit or debit card? First National Bank of Omaha’s Instant Issuance service lets customers quickly replace their lost or damaged credit or debit cards – at its bank branches and retail partners.

OMAHA, Neb.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–First National Bank of Omaha (FNBO), a subsidiary of First National of Nebraska, has now issued more than one million debit and credit cards via Instant Issuance – providing immediate gratification to customers by securely printing and placing a new card right into their hands – whether to get them started on a new account or replacing a lost card for an existing account.

We introduced Instant Issuance to our partners starting in 2012 – initially with Scheels – which was a significant milestone in giving customers access to a fast and easy solution for instantly issuing cards outside of a bank branch,” said Jerry J. O’Flanagan, executive vice president, Consumer Banking, at First National Bank of Omaha. “Then, in 2017, we expanded this capability to our partners MGM and Station Casinos, as well as in our own branches.”

O’Flanagan said its credit card partners wanted to put cards in their customers’ hands to use onsite and everywhere else Visa is accepted. He added that once the consumer is approved for a new account, FNBO’s partners can print a fully personalized card in about 90 seconds. “Customers love being able to use the card right away instead of waiting for a new card to arrive in the mail,” he said.

Today, FNBO offers its Instant Issue capabilities through its branches and with partners in 154 locations across 17 states. For the bank’s card partners, additional benefits include:
