SAN ANTONIO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–SWBC Ad Valorem Tax Advisors announced today that it has acquired Industrial Property Tax Solutions (IPTS). IPTS, an industrial/complex property tax consulting firm headquartered in Boerne, Texas, focuses primarily in managing and reducing property taxes for capital intensive industries including marine transportation, manufacturing and distribution, energy, and media.
“We have been looking for opportunities to identify organizational synergies prior to considering any firm for potential acquisition, and IPTS fits that requirement perfectly,” said Gary Rivas, President of SWBC Ad Valorem Tax Advisors. “To help achieve our goal of continued growth, this acquisition plays an important role in expanding our ability to offer specialized and comprehensive property tax expertise to industrial/complex, heavy industry, and manufacturing clients.”
IPTS was founded by John Woolard. He has over 35 years of industrial property tax valuation and assessment appeals experience. He will stay on board, as well as the three people he currently employs. IPTS currently represents about $6 billion worth of property across the country.
