Comerica Bank and FHLB Dallas to Announce $17K Grant for Texas Nonprofit

7:30 a.m. Friday, August 9 at 3939 San Felipe Street, Houston

HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Comerica Bank and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) will award $17,000 in Partnership Grant Program (PGP) funds to PowHer Play, which empowers women through motivational conferences, scholarships and grants. The grant will be used to offset operational costs associated with annual events and a mentorship program.

The media is encouraged to join local dignitaries and bank representatives at a check presentation at 7:30 a.m. Friday, August 9, 2019 at Ouisie’s Table at 3939 San Felipe Street in Houston.

The structure of the PGP enables FHLB Dallas member institutions, like Comerica Bank, to contribute $500 to $4,000 to a community-based organization (CBO), which FHLB Dallas matches at a 3:1 ratio.
