Congressman Allred to Join Banks to Tour Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland Construction Site

GARLAND, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Congressman Colin Allred (D-TX) and representatives from the Federal Home Loan Bank of Dallas (FHLB Dallas) and Veritex Bank will participate in a one-hour tour and home build with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland, which supports affordable homeownership through educational and volunteer resources for low-income families. FHLB Dallas has been a longtime supporter of the Habitat for Humanity of Greater Garland, contributing more than $17,000 since 2010 to assist the organization. In the past year, Veritex Bank donated three historical residential properties to the nonprofit to rehabilitate in the Garland area.

The tour will begin at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2019, at 1309 Burke Drive in Garland. The media is encouraged to attend.
