ECFC Annual Symposium Offers Dynamic Educational, Networking Opportunities Designed to Advance HealthCare Consumerism

CINCINNATI–(BUSINESS WIRE)–ECFC, the leading nonprofit organization advocating for choice in benefit solutions, today announced its 32nd ECFC Annual Symposium, a national meeting focused on the professional development and certification of some of the leading employers, brokers, technology providers and third-party administrators who service millions of Americans with consumer-driven healthcare plans.

Under the backdrop of a constantly changing healthcare landscape, the Annual Symposium on Aug. 6-8 in Cincinnati represents the cornerstone of innovation for organizations looking to navigate regulation changes in healthcare and benefits this year and moving forward.

“With the healthcare space continually being refined, our 2019 Symposium is a great opportunity for attendees to become even more educated about the benefits of these types of plans for every day Americans, exchange ideas, deepen relationships and collaborate with experts,” said Martin Trussell, Executive Director for ECFC. “Fluctuating consumer attitudes and expectations are changing of the way healthcare benefits are delivered and serviced, and our Symposium will help attendees better navigate that path for the benefit of their employees and families.”

Featuring round-table discussions and a healthcare expert-heavy audience, the ECFC Symposium provides a variety of professional development and networking opportunities designed to advance healthcare consumerism.

Considered the leading event in continuing education and development for employer-sponsored benefits certifications, the Symposium will also introduce a certification clinic for a new Certified HIPAA Administrator™ (CHA™) Program. Taught in person at the Symposium, the clinic will allow registered attendees to take the exam and leave with the certification. The program will examine the impact of the legislation from the perspective of end users, such as nurses and administrators, responsible for delivering and supporting healthcare related services. ECFC is partnering with the HIPAA ACADEMY for this certification.

To kick off the Symposium, opening keynote speaker Chad Willett will “Smash the Box” with a presentation on how to develop a creative mindset. A motivational speaker, actor and author, Willett’s presentation will focus on how game-changing ideas, unplanned collaborations and creative mindsets can give organizations a competitive advantage.

The 32nd ECFC Annual Symposium will feature leading experts speaking on numerous technical areas, with 15 educational workshops including:
