LoanMart Supports the Community with Volunteer Days at the LA Regional Food Bank

LoanMart cares about the LA community and the fight against hunger!

VAN NUYS, Calif.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–As part of LoanMart’s 2019 kick-off of its Corporate Citizenship
Program, LoanMart
employees spent March 21 and April 10 volunteering at the Los
Angeles Regional Food Bank
. “Everyone felt empowered that they can
and do make a difference in helping others. Together they sorted
and packed over 12,300 pounds of canned and packaged food
in under
four hours. It was an inspiration,” said Jennifer Armstrong, HR Director
for LoanMart.

The Los Angeles Regional Food Bank is an integral part of the Los
Angeles community support landscape, serving more than 300,000 hungry
people every month. Food donations are distributed to families, seniors,
and low-income households in need across the city. The Food Bank reports
that an estimated
1.4 million people
in Los Angeles County do not know where their
next meal will come from.

LoanMart looks forward to continuing the LoanMart Corporate Citizenship
program in the months to come, and to exploring new ways to help the
community.
