NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Nardello & Co. LLC, a leading global investigations firm, today announced that Susan Coppedge has joined the firm as a Managing Director and Head of the firm’s Atlanta office. Ms. Coppedge will lead Nardello & Co.’s efforts to develop and serve clients in the southeast as well as nationally.
Previously, Ms. Coppedge was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Ambassador-at-Large for the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the United States Department of State. During her tenure, Ms. Coppedge represented the United States government in international engagements to address human trafficking by meeting with high-ranking, foreign government officials, law enforcement, international organizations and U.S. diplomatic personnel. She joins Nardello & Co. from Kids in Need of Defense, where she served as the Interim Managing Attorney, coordinating with national law firms in Atlanta for pro bono representation. Ms. Coppedge also prosecuted over 150 criminal cases while she served as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia.

Biography
Susan Coppedge
Prior to joining Nardello & Co., Ms. Coppedge served as the Interim Managing Attorney at Kids in Need of Defense, where she coordinated with national law firms in Atlanta for pro bono representation of unaccompanied migrant children. Previously, she was nominated by President Obama and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Ambassador-at-Large for the Office to Monitor and Combat Trafficking in Persons at the United States Department of State. During her tenure, Ms. Coppedge represented the United States government in international engagements to address human trafficking by meeting with high-ranking, foreign government officials, law enforcement, international organizations and U.S. diplomatic personnel. She also managed foreign assistance programs providing over $18 million in 2016 to fund 41 grants focused on advancing the anti-trafficking movement globally. Notably, in 2017, she made the final grant-funding decision for the initial $25 million grant under the State Department’s inaugural Program to End Modern Slavery.
Ms. Coppedge previously served for 15 years as an Assistant United States Attorney in the Northern District of Georgia, where she prosecuted over 150 criminal cases including human trafficking, government fraud, public corruption, document fraud/identity theft, environmental crimes, intellectual property, tax, and violent crime cases. She also served as the office’s human trafficking coordinator, managing the human trafficking docket, conducting trainings for local, state, and federal law enforcement, and engaging in community outreach events.
Ms. Coppedge began her legal career clerking for then Chief Judge William C. O’Kelley in the Northern District of Georgia and, then, entered the Department of Justice Environment and Natural Resources Division through the Honors Program.
Ms. Coppedge holds a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke University and a JD from Stanford University.
