Bevvie, the ‘Private Members Club in your Pocket’ launches in London at Asia Cup Polo

Check In. Connect. Redeem.

Aiming to revolutionise the social networking space for professionals on the go, Bevvie launches in London with a large waitlist as a simple way for expats and business travellers to find like-minded friends, host private events and build their professional networks, simply by checking into a venue.

LONDON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#bevvieapp–Disruptive U.K.-based mobile app Bevvie launches in London as an invite-only membership club with a rewards platform on mobile.

Marrying the new norm of meeting friends online with the aim of expats and business travellers to network on-the-go, Bevvie offers an ice-breaker for members to host private events, meet in venues upon check-in and collect points for repeat usage, which can be redeemed for rewards from partners.

It’s free to join for now – but you have to be invited.

GPS technology allows Bevvie members to see a list of basic profiles of other members currently checked into the same venue, highlighting shared interests and languages and offering a platform to connect within a closed community. Members are offered points each time they check in and each time they refer a new member to the platform.

Bevvie Ltd is driven by an international team with experience working in London, LA, San Francisco, NYC, Zurich, Cannes, Sydney, Hong Kong and Shanghai, and it plans to replicate the business model in urban walkable cities which see business travel in high volumes.

CEO Natalie Torin said the vision for Bevvie is to create a platform where expats and entrepreneurs can connect and build business relationships through a social platform based on geo-location and break the ice with those who have checked in at the same select venue, be it a bar or a conference. Co-founder and COO Brendan Kwok conferred that he understands the problem of meeting like-minded people for business and social networking as both an expat and frequent business traveller and has found that the platform has resonated with people who identify with this lifestyle.

Partnering with Gold Emotion 24-carat gold sparkling wine, Bevvie will launch officially this Saturday 6 July as a sponsor of the Asia Polo Club at Ham Polo Club, Richmond, West London, an elite event for polo lovers held in the UK and India, where attendees will check in on Bevvie for preferred access upon arrival.

As a business, Bevvie’s geo-targeted networking platform allows brands and venues an opportunity to showcase their own events and offers to members based on geo-location and upon arrival.

Membership is currently free and available by invitation and referral. Prospective members and partners can join the waitlist at www.bevvieapp.com and specify their preferred city, or download the app for iOS if they have received a referral code.
