Collections Boast High Design, Tactile Finishes and Accessible Aesthetics
with a Modern Twist
TEMPLE, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#Commercial–Wilsonart’s 2019
Commercial Laminate and Traceless™
Laminate Collections include 25 unique designs in a variety of
textures. The latest releases harmonize as a collection for any classic
or modern interior, while each of them represents a chic personality to
span the breadth and depth of design aesthetics desirable in all
varieties of commercial interiors today. Each of the new patterns and
solids represent surface materials that suit the trends of mindful
materials, crafted artisan and neutral noir.
“Technology today has led to an abundance of choices for consumers. Too
many choices, however, has often resulted in a loss of individuality and
quality,” noted Sally
Chavez, Senior Designer at Wilsonart. “Our new collection of High
Pressure Laminate designs (HPL) – a highly versatile product which is
truly the workhorse of so many commercial interiors – is inspired by
uniquely crafted and artisanal items that add character and personality
to the spaces we work in.”
Nine new wood looks now feature remarkably enhanced surface textures
that emulate the dynamic flow and even the light-play of real woodgrain.
The authentic looking surfaces provide the warmth and hospitality
associated with wood case goods and surfaces, and a welcome respite from
technology, glass and sleek cool, industrial looks. New design additions
to the widely popular Aligned
Oak series, Mercer Oak and Webb Oak, are suitable
for vertical and horizontal applications, opening the door to every
surface possibility in commercial interiors.
Italian Silver Ash has a woodgrain texture with a blend of grain
variations. Overall, it is a light taupe woodgrain design in a subtle
planked structure.
Kingswood Walnut is a striking and dramatic walnut design with a
balance of even grain, small cathedrals and fine texture in a raw walnut
coloration.
French Pear has a smooth, textured finish and is a light taupe
pear-wood design with subtle planking that resembles an African Anigre.
Sap Walnut with its smooth, textured finish, is a pleasing
all-over light brown woodgrain design with darker streaks and markings
indicative of sap walnut veneer.
Washed Char has a woodgrain texture with a blend of grain
variations. It is an aged teak in light warm grey tones in a subtle
planked look. The pattern celebrates the beauty that comes with age and
creates an elegant and unique look.
Blackened Chestnut is a dense woodgrain structure that is
soft-to-the-touch. It is an all over woodgrain with charred black burned
into the woodgrain. This rustic design has medium toned brown woodgrain
running throughout.
Amaretto Pine has a woodgrain texture with a blend of grain
variations. It is a heavily distressed wood with character that is
comprised of warm and cool grey and taupe tones.
Mercer Oak exhibits the natural dimension and feel of the real
world. It is a medium grey oak design in shades of warm grey that is
enhanced by an embossed and aligned texture.
Webb Oak is a dark mocha oak design reinforced by an authentic
embossed and aligned texture with a feel of the real world. It is
reminiscent of the Arts & Craft style.
The new HPL patterns, eight abstracts and six solids, are modern and
updated with a stroke of tasteful restraint. Abstract patterns include a
new take on the original Classic
Linen. French Linen and Nordic Linen radiate a Hygge
personality associated with lofty waffle-knit hotel linens. In their
warm neutral colorways, French Linen and Nordic Linen
exude a sophisticated, yet approachable vibe. New bold, neutral
colorways Blackbird and Nightfall elevate the linen
pattern to a moody visually intriguing surface.
Wilsonart’s masterfully composed, original abstract pattern, Washi,
features depth and movement on multiple levels. The multi-faceted
pattern’s personality reads lighthearted yet intellectual and harmonizes
extremely well with both contemporary to classic interiors. The
versatile pattern looks great in every color and effortlessly integrates
with future updates. This artistic organic abstract will remain relevant
and endure new trends, interior concepts or colorways.
The natural, raw Polished Concrete pattern represents radical
trends in interior design, such as industrial farmhouse or industrial
modern; while soothing designs from nature White Cascade and Sierra
Cascade are residential crossovers. All three patterns represent
beauty at its best.
French Linen with a smooth, textured finish, has a dark
grey woven linen look.
Nordic Linen with a smooth, textured finish, is a light cool grey
woven linen look.
Blackbird features a textured, matte finish. It is a charcoal
black abstract in a soft Crossweave pattern offering overall color and
up-close interest.

abstract in a soft Crossweave pattern offering overall color and

pattern of small silver pearl lines over a medium grey background.
Washi Gold with a smooth, textured finish, is a scattered pattern

look of a concrete surface in a natural concrete coloration.

off-white limestone look with linear directional features in subtle warm
and cool neutrals.

features a limestone look in warm grey with linear directional features
in shades of grey with hints of caramel.
Solids Crystal, Fossil Shale and Midnight
are on-trend surface looks that can add a crisp modern aesthetic to
walls and furniture or help break up monolithic surface areas with
complimentary horizontal surface looks. “Although they are solids, the
colors and finish still evoke a complex, light-filled depth that are
similar to what designers look for in back painted glass,” notes Chavez.
Crystal has a textured finish with a moderate, reflective
quality. It is a light warm white solid.
Fossil Shale has a textured finish with a moderate, reflective
quality. It is a warm mid-tone grey solid.

streaks are almost never seen, so surfaces appear pristine even in
highly trafficked, highly stressed environments.
