MARYVILLE, Tenn.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Altar’d State is excited to announce a new paid parental leave program
offering up to 14 weeks of full pay for all eligible full-time
associates. This program provides two types of paid leave:
-
8 weeks of fully-paid medical leave to all eligible birth mothers for
disability and recovery associated with pregnancy and childbirth. -
6 weeks of fully-paid leave to all eligible associates welcoming a new
child by birth or adoption to care for and bond with the child.
“We want to lead the industry in paid time off for new parents. This is
a milestone moment in people’s lives and it is so important for our
associates to take time to bond with their new child,” said Vicky
O’Neill, Director of Training & Development. “We are constantly working
towards improvement and becoming a great place to work. The parental
leave program is only one of the new benefits we have added to reach
that goal.”
Altar’d State also announced a new discretionary bonus available to
eligible active associates for each eligible birth or adoption that
occurred while the associate was full-time beginning in 2016, prior to
this policy becoming effective.
“As a company, our mission is to stand out. for good. everyday,” said
Chairman and CEO, Aaron Walters. “We believe by providing extended time
for our associates to bond with their new child, we are empowering them
to stand out. for good. This new benefit is only one way we encourage
our associates to stand out. for good. each and every day.”
