Seating Accommodates all Workspaces and Work Styles

CHICAGO–(BUSINESS WIRE)–#DesignForHumansHumanscale
comes to NeoCon 2019 with new seating solutions that accommodate a
variety of work environments and styles, broadening an already
comprehensive line of seating for the workspace. From informal
collaborative settings to executive offices and boardrooms, Humanscale’s
newest offerings are flexible, adaptable and automatically adjust to any
sitter without requiring tedious manual adjustments. NeoCon visitors
will have the opportunity to preview Alto, an ergonomic stool
designed by Don Chadwick, and meet with the influential designer. The
showroom, suite 351, will also feature Summa, a luxurious new
executive chair, and the iconic Freedom in a revolutionary chrome-free
leather upholstery
option that sets a new standard for the healthy,
ergonomic workspace. The additions will be shown alongside Humanscale’s
existing task, occasional and multipurpose chairs, revealing a
comprehensive suite and catering to a wide variety workspace needs.

Alto Preview

Humanscale will provide attendees with a special sneak peek at its new
collaboration with Don Chadwick, including a special guest appearance
from the designer himself. Chadwick, who will be on hand in the
Humanscale showroom, will speak about the process of creating a
multipurpose chair that he calls “a true celebration of form and
function – a stool rooted in providing ergonomic comfort with simple
design.”

Chrome-Free Leathers

A company at the forefront of material transparency, Humanscale will
present its new and existing seating solutions in a new line of premium
chrome-free leather. The upholstery utilizes a carbon neutral
tannery that does not utilize chromium, a harmful chemical used in most
methods for tanning leathers. The brand is aiming to become the first
company to offer exclusively chrome-free leather.

Summa

Designed for today’s dynamic leaders, Summa exudes luxurious simplicity,
presenting a clean aesthetic from every angle. It reflects the growing
need for versatile executive seating and is one of the brand’s first
entries into the C-Suite landscape. Suitable for the corner office, the
boardroom as well as the home office, it features an auto-recline that
automatically responds to the user for seamless support and comfort. It
will be ready to order in Quarter 4 2019 with seven of Humanscale’s new
chrome-free leather options.

Freedom 20th Anniversary

Humanscale’s iconic Freedom chair will also be available in
chrome-free leather. Designed by Niels Diffrient in 1999, Freedom
revolutionized the seating industry as the first ever self-adjusting
chair. Two decades later, it remains the gold standard and is revered
for its elegant simplicity, functionality and timeless design. In
celebration of its twenty-year anniversary, the renowned chair is on a
world tour, making monthly appearances in cities and important events
around the globe including NeoCon. As the first chair to adapt to real
people and real movement, these activations will give trade and
consumers the opportunity to personally experience and celebrate
Freedom’s intuitive ergonomic design.
