WEST DES MOINES, Iowa–(BUSINESS WIRE)–GuideOne Insurance announced that Chris Ward has been appointed to the
position of Vice President of Distribution Management, effective May 28,
2019. In this role, Ward is responsible for driving and supporting
attainment of GuideOne’s strategic plan through managing its independent
agency, wholesaler and alternative distribution relationships. He will
create and execute the overall distribution strategy for the
organization, soliciting new partnerships, while developing and managing
key relationships.
Ward joins GuideOne from CNA Financial Corporation, where he served as
Assistant Vice President of Sales & Distribution. In that role, Ward
developed and cultivated relationships with the company’s distribution
partners, and worked with brokers to develop national level initiatives
that incorporated the company’s distribution strategies. He also brings
extensive experience in building business units and teams, strategic
planning, sales and marketing, mergers and acquisitions, and reinsurance.
