Twenty-One
ALEXANDRIA, Va.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CIM Group announced today that it has completed renovations on the
amenity spaces at Mason at Van Dorn, the 1,180-unit apartment community
formerly known as EOS Twenty-One. Mason at Van Dorn consists of 14 four-
and five-story buildings situated on an approximately 30-acre site at
140 South Van Dorn Street in Alexandria, Virginia, which provides
residents with abundant open space on manicured grounds.
The community features multiple common and recreation areas, which have
been upgraded with new finishes, furniture, and equipment. The large
club house features a variety of congregation areas including lounges,
bar area, kids’ room, business center, game room, fitness center, and
theatre room. Mason at Van Dorn also offers an on-site convenience store
and deli.
CIM’s renovation program also included converting multiple areas into
modern amenities to better serve Mason at Van Dorn’s residents such as
creating an Amazon Hub package area and Tide Dry Cleaning locker area
from the tennis shop; transforming a playground near one of the two
pools to a grill area; adding a fully-equipped kids’ playground at the
former site of a volleyball court; and upgrading the large dog park,
Wiggly Field, with artificial turf, installing new equipment, and a pet
wash station. CIM also resurfaced the four tennis courts.
In addition to the renovation program of the amenities, CIM is
continuing its work to upgrade each of the 1,180 apartments with new
wood flooring, cabinetry, appliances including full-size washers and
dryers, fixtures and lighting, and closets. Approximately 250 apartments
have been completed to date.
Located in the Van Dorn Corridor, Mason at Van Dorn is proximate to an
array of dining, entertainment, and other attractions and is
conveniently situated just off I-395 inside the Capital Beltway (I-495),
and is four miles from Old Town Alexandria. A shuttle service provided
by the property transports residents the short one-mile drive to the Van
Dorn Metro Station, connecting to the region’s thriving employment
centers, such as Washington, D.C., Pentagon City, Crystal City, and the
Rosslyn-Ballston Corridor.
