NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler LLP is pleased to announce that Anne-Laure
Alléhaut has become Counsel to the Firm, joining its highly
respected Art & Museum Law practice.
Ms. Alléhaut joins the Firm from Sotheby’s Inc. where she served as
Senior Vice President and Associate General Counsel for six years. In
her role at Sotheby’s, one of the world’s largest auction houses, she
advised management and senior executives on deal structure and strategy,
as well as on legal and reputational risk in connection with the sale of
art. She will concentrate her practice at Patterson Belknap on all
aspects of art law, including representing clients in the full range of
transactions related to works of art, including its purchase and sale
(at auction and privately). Additionally, she will be drafting and
negotiating transactional agreements, financing documents, and general
corporate agreements. Prior to joining Sotheby’s, Ms. Alléhaut spent
seven years as a corporate associate at two multinational law firms,
focusing on mergers & acquisitions. Ms. Alléhaut received her J.D. from
Cornell Law School and her M.A. from Université Paris X, Nanterre in
International Commercial Law and International Litigation. She also
studied international and commercial law at Université Paris II,
Panthéon-Assas.
