Downtown Tour of Historic Buildings Available for
a Day of Touring on June 8 for Developers, Investors, Entrepreneurs and
Residents
CORSICANA, Texas–(BUSINESS WIRE)–lt;a href=”https://twitter.com/hashtag/corsicanatx?src=hash” target=”_blank”gt;#corsicanatxlt;/agt;–Corsicana’s Main Street Program has partnered with the Texas Historical
Commission for an ‘Open Building’ day on Saturday, June 8, throughout
the city’s Downtown area. From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., brokers and realtors
will be on hand to showcase properties for sale and lease during the 2019
Imagine the Possibilities Tour.
A unique combination of buildings of different sizes and historic value
will be available to view, including buildings with loft apartment
possibilities. Some buildings are eligible for Historic Tax Credits. All
buildings are eligible for New Market Tax Credits and Opportunity Zone
investment. The 2019 Imagine the Possibilities Tour headquarters
at 118 North Beaton Street will have maps of all spaces available, tax
incentive information, and small business start-up information.
The event coincides with Downtown Corsicana’s popular Mimosas at the
Market, where versions of the bubbly brunch drink is poured
complimentary by business owners throughout Downtown.
The 2019 Imagine the Possibilities Tour is created by the Texas
Historical Commission, the state agency for historic preservation of
architectural, archeological, and cultural landmarks. Listings of the

Corsicana’s Main Street Program focuses on historic preservation within
the context of economic development. Corsicana was one of the earliest
cities selected to participate in the Texas Main Street Program in 1985.
The downtown area is a charming marketplace with a variety of merchants,
restaurants, live entertainment, creative art studios, and office space.
Over the past two years, six new businesses have opened in the historic
area of Corsicana.
