One patient shares her experience with diagnosis and treatment with a
physician expert
CRANBURY, N.J.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–CURE Media Group — which reaches over 1 million patients, survivors and
caregivers across an industry-leading multimedia platform devoted solely
to cancer updates and research — has unveiled a six-episode discussion
series featuring Laura O’Brien, who shares her journey through stage 3
non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and immunotherapy with Dr. Jyoti D.
Patel.
“We are thrilled to launch this video series showing the patient
perspective of NSCLC as well as the perspective from an expert
physician,” said Michael J. Hennessy Jr., president of MJH Associates,
Inc., parent company of CURE Media Group. “It is inspiring to watch
Laura O’Brien share her personal experience with NSCLC with Dr. Patel.”
During the six-part series, O’Brien and Dr. Patel explore a variety of
topics related to NSCLC, from both the physician’s and patient’s
perspectives. The first episode explores Laura’s journey beginning at
diagnosis. In the following episodes, Dr. Patel and Laura discuss more
than her story with NSCLC; they talk about clinical trials,
immunotherapy, treatment options, the value of a support system, the
future of NSCLC and more.
In discussing her diagnosis, O’Brien said, “Well, it was strange. I feel
that I was very lucky. I actually coughed up blood — it was a clot — one
time, and I had an appointment the following day to get test results
from just a normal stress test.”
“CURE
Connections®” is a video platform designed specifically for patients
with cancer featuring information, stories and advice about the cancer
journey.
