(Baker Tilly) appoints Monica Modi Dalwadi to serve as managing partner
for the firm’s metro D.C. market. Effective June 1, Dalwadi will succeed
Todd Stokes who was recently appointed to lead the firm’s people
strategy.

In her new role, Dalwadi will provide leadership, management and
strategic direction for the firm’s metro D.C. market, including
providing insight and advice to client engagement teams, fostering
employee development and recruiting and driving growth. Dalwadi will
continue serving clients focusing on internal auditing, risk assessment,
fraud and forensics reviews and strategic consulting on a wide range of
business issues.
Dalwadi serves on Baker Tilly’s national diversity and inclusion
steering committee. She was a co-chair for the firm’s Talent
Differentiation Task Force and also serves on Baker Tilly’s Growth and
Retention of Women committee. Dalwadi has exemplified Baker Tilly’s
value of stewardship throughout her career through her active
involvement in volunteering and serving as a board member for various
nonprofit organizations, including the board of directors for the
Washington Improv Theater and volunteering with Junior Achievement. Last
year, the National Kidney Foundation recognized Dalwadi with the
All-Star Award in recognition of her work as an advocate for the
organization. She was also recognized as a 2016 Minority Business Leader
by the Washington Business Journal and received a 2015 Brava! Award from
SmartCEO magazine, which recognizes female business leaders for their
motivation, success and contributions to the community.
